Create your own Pumpkin repeating pattern in a relaxed, hands on workshop. Draw With Patterns is a series of beginner friendly creative workshops where you’ll learn how to draw on an iPad and turn your ideas into beautiful repeating patterns using the drawing app Procreate. As part of October’s theme, I bring to you a classic Pumpkin Pattern to explore a layout that uses a scattered theme to fill a composition with intricate little details. With some clever tricks and guidance you’ll learn to draw theme based elements to create your own version of this pattern! You don’t need to be an artist or have any previous digital drawing experience, the workshop is designed to help you have a go, build confidence and enjoy the process. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: - To get comfortable using an iPad and Apple Pencil for drawing - Learn to draw in Procreate - Develop a theme for your elements - Turn your drawings into professional patterns - Build confidence and creativity - Explore what you can do with your patterns! Like printing them on fabric. HOW THE WORKSHOP WORKS: The session is taught in person, with a live demonstration projected onto the wall so you can follow along step by step, in real time. There’ll be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, get individual feedback and work at your own pace. Refreshments (tea and biscuits) are included in your booking. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Ideally, you’ll bring an iPad with Procreate installed and an Apple Pencil. If you don't have the app you can get it in the link below: https://procreate.com/procreate Don’t have the equipment yet? No problem. There are 3 iPads with Apple Pencils available to borrow during each session, so you can try digital drawing and explore pattern-making before deciding whether you want to invest in your own equipment.
