About me
Hi I am Mylène!
For as long as I can remember, I've always loved drawing and telling stories. After my BA in communications and visual media, I started working as a graphic designer in Mexico City but something was missing so in 2014 I moved to London to do a Master in Creative Entrepreneurship at Goldsmiths University. This experience made me realise that I should change my speciality to illustration, focus on developing a personal style and feel confident about starting my own small business Studio Mylène. The key was in finding the right balance between my artistic skills as an illustrator and my communication principles as a graphic designer.
Since then, my career has bloomed and I've had the pleasure of working with a variety of clients from agencies to big brands, to small business owners, NGOs and individuals.
In 2020 I moved to the Lake District to live in a quirky little tower house with my husband and our cat Merlin. Up here in the countryside I feel closer to my inner nature and the slow and old fashioned romantic rhythm of the Lakes has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally.
As a small business owner I understand how daunting it can be to start a new venture so I've built my business around creative services which can help others grow and thrive.
I’m excited for the future of Studio Mylène and I am looking forward to working with lots more incredible clients.
